Is there anything better than starting the day with a special homemade coffee? Today I'm bringing you one of my favourite seasonal recipes: the pistachio latte, creamy, smooth and with that sweet, toasty touch that makes it irresistible. If you always order the pistachio latte at your usual café, you'll love knowing that you can make it at home in under five minutes with just four ingredients.
For this recipe I used the KitchenAid KF8 bean-to-cup coffee machine, which makes the espresso and froths the milk for you at the push of a button. It also works with cow's milk and plant-based drinks such as oat or almond, so you can tailor your pistachio latte to your taste. And if you have the KF3, I'll also explain how to make it.
Pistachio cream, a good espresso, frothy milk and chopped pistachios on top: that's how easy it is to treat yourself to a barista-style coffee without leaving your kitchen. Let's get started!

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons pistachio cream
- 30 ml espresso
- 120 ml crushed pistachios
- 120 ml milk (or any other milk alternative*)
*For this recipe we recommend using cow's, oat or almond milk - and yes, the KitchenAid KF8 coffee machine works with plant-based milks!
Method
- Add two teaspoons of pistachio cream to a cup.
- Make sure your favourite milk is in the external container of your automatic coffee machine KitchenAid KF8 (you can also use the KF3 automatic, and add the frothed milk separately).
- Place the cup under the coffee spout of the KitchenAid espresso machine (we are talking about a fully automatic coffee machine).
- Select the "Caffe Latte" option from the menu, choose "Plant-based or dairy drink" and press the start button. The machine will make the espresso and automatically steam and pour the milk into the cup.
- To serve, sprinkle crushed pistachios on top.
- Stir to combine the flavours of the coffee and the milk, and enjoy!
